Forever update ~ Book 3 in the Fateful Series... (I know you’ve been looking for it!)

Thursday, June 30, 2011

In Forever, I’m getting into Ethan’s head and the 1st chapter is told from his point of view. Due to things that happen in the plot, I need to tell the story from both Ethan’s and Danielle’s perspectives. By doing it this way, you’ll better understand why Lucas went after Danielle like he did. Driven by that overprotective nature of his, Ethan kept things about the past in terms of Lucas from Danielle because he didn’t want to upset her more than she already was.

You probably noticed in Fractured that I mentioned other magical beings gaining interest in Danielle too. That was intentional and was my way of setting things up for Book 3. And obviously, that is what Forever will mainly be about, their survival as creatures like pixies, witches and werewolves stalk her... Lilith can’t control other things she didn’t create...and that becomes a problem for them.

Also, you haven’t seen the last of Lucas and Celeste or some of the knightly heroes you got to know in Fractured. You’ll also get to see how truly evil Lucas can be.

Anyhow, I would like to ask my readers a few questions as I write this novel. I do have the plot in mind and much of it is already written, but I was hoping to get your input on things you’d like to see more of. For example, I know many of you would like to see Danielle get her revenge on Celeste besides the slightly satisfying punch to the face in Book 2. In this case, I think what I’ve come up with is pretty horrible but also unexpected.

So here’s how I’d like to do this: I’ll ask a few questions and if you would answer them in the comments section of this post then I’ll know what my readers want and therefore satisfy your wishes in the conclusion of the Fateful trilogy.

1~ Who are your favorite characters? And who would you like to see more of?
2~ What are some of your favorite scenes and why?
3~ What other creatures would you like to see more of? For example: Would you like to see more fairies or something else I haven’t explored yet?
4~ I plan to write at least two Novellas in the future for this series. One for Max and Nadia and one for Beon and Sophia. Are there any other characters you’d like to see stories written for?

(As you answer, all I ask is that you don’t put in too many spoilers ;-) Thanks so much!)

Would you consider doing one on Lucas, maybe explaining ( if there is a reason to go into depth) of why he chose to go down the bad route I guess? Just throwing ideas out :). It sounded better in my head lol I can't get the right words out but I hope you get what I'm saying.

Thank you for this Sharon! I totally understand you. Actually, you will learn all about him in Forever. I hope this will answer your questions because you’re not the only one wondering about Lucas! Thanks again for your input and taking the time to tell me!

I wanted to know if you've set a release date yet...?? I'm addicted to these books, they're wonderful!!

Unknown said...

Thank you so much for dropping by to share your kind words with me! I don't have an exact date for book 3 yet, but I'm aiming for some time in August.

I would like to know more about Richard, he's my faverite other than Max. I just finsihed Fractured and I love the series.

Unknown said...

Thanks Bekah! I loved Richard too. Partly because he's based on a family ancestor and it was fun trying to imagine what he was like. And so far Max is everyone's fav. I wonder if it's because he's a hot knight. LOL

I really enjoy the fairies and would love to see more of them. I also really like Richard and Max. If you are looking for more mythical creatures to write about you might want to consider mermaids...

hi!
I love this series which is strange considering how vampires kinda freak me out! I love Max and Nadia. Another thing so this is totally up to you but i thought the plot line was more relatable when Ethan And Danielle were mortal so if you do decide to keep with that (or did seeing how this comment is late!) i think that her getting pregnant again and the risk that the order takes to protect the unborn baby would add some twists also! Oh and maybe if Nadia turned out pregnant as well :)!
I totally understand if you don't like these ideas or have already written the book, i will still read it!
--Jody J. (you've officially turned me on my not liking vampire novels!)

Unknown said...

Thanks Jody! Actually this really does help and it’s not too late yet. Without spoiling anything, let me just say I think you’ll be pleased based on your comments because it seems like you think like I do. Writing horror like Anne Rice just isn’t me and I’m sooo glad you like how I write vampires. LOL

You might also like how I write ghosts. Have your tried out Fair Maiden yet? While you wait for book3, I mean...

Unknown said...

Anonymous,

Obviously I need to give Richard his own Novella too! And I have considered mermaids...Hmmm. Are they nice mermaids or like real ones and not nice? Thanks again for your comments!

Unknown said...

"Real" mermaids...LOL. I guess I meant to me real mermaids are how they used to be portrayed in the older tales. Like wicked sirens.

Hi, Cheri! I just want you to know that I was very intrigued by the first two novels in this series...I am one for hot British men, who isn't? :) First of all, I do want you to know that you've managed a feat that many authors find challenging: making certain scenes in your book sensual and sexy without being trashy. I commend you for writing "clean" fiction. Second of all, the only thing I would suggest is to try and put Danielle and Ethan on more equal footing. One moment Danielle is constantly annoyed with every little quip he has and he just rolls over and the next he's controlling her to the point where it feels very unhealthy-Vampire-Control-issues-coughedwardfromtwilightcough-esque. I see that character in so many books, and it's much more realistic for me when they dialogue as equals and sort of tease each other. I don't even know how to say this, haha, I'm doing a pretty bad job so far explaining it! So, yes, I think I will just stop with point two. Point three, the whole breath thing is icky.

Good luck, and keep doing what you're doing. :) Watch out for silly little grammar things, too, although I am nitpicking a bit. The stories really are wonderful. The idea for mermaids is quite fascinating as well...I'm thinking Pirates of the Caribbean style mermaids, yes? Haha.

Have fun. :)

I really want to see Richard end up with Brianna. I think Danielle needs her cousin to know. Also you get the feeling that her uncle already does.

I have to say I loved these books and I'm not really into paranormal. I have found very few books in my life that I couldn't put down and I read alot. I couldn't put the first 2 books down. I to would like to see something happen between Richard and Brianna. I never thought about it until I saw the other comment but it's intriguing and just makes sense. Also I want to see more mythical creatures like centaurs and things. I don't know if this is to late but it's just my 2 cents.

Unknown said...

Thank you wonderful anonymous person! :D And thank you Beth, Kathleen and Shay for your input.

I hope all of you posted your kind reviews on Amazon and/or Goodreads for me? And, wow, I keep getting so many great suggestions. Thanks for taking the time to share your ideas and thoughts with me... Finding hobbits would be very cool... I’d actually never considered pairing Richard with Brianna, hmm, but what do I do with the hot rugby-playing Will? LOL And, centaurs...fascinating... I’m off to writing now! But I will post Ethan’s interview very soon .

Cheers my friends!

Really enjoy these books however you write the mail character Danielle really weak and dependent she allows herself to get manipulated by Ethan he's very controlling Of her she's needs a bit of back bone

I think when she stands up and fights doesn't take any crap from anyone and you bring out her strong independent feisty side where she makes her own decisions for her!
Which I know is in there

That will be the cherry on the cake so to speak

Other than that great story unique to the vampire novels you usually read

KajalK! Thank you sooo much for stopping by to say this. It totally made me smile! It means a lot to me that you like what I wrote. I hope you posted a good review for me on Amazon. :D It really helps me out.

Forever is coming along better and faster than I'd expected. I really hope you love it as much as the others. My goal was the end of August for the release. However, since it is summer and my editors are super busy right now, it might not be until September. I'll be sure to keep you posted! (I might give you a preview of the first chapter very soon, so keep checking back, and spread the word. LOL

Thanks again for your inspiring post! I'me motivated to see how I can speed up the process!!!

Hugs,
Cheri

Hi Savannah,

Can I give you a hug for stopping by my blog to share your kind words with me? I also noticed you took the time to post reviews on Amazon, so let’s make that hug a tight squeeze with little screams of joy, like my teenage daughters do when they see their best friend.

Thank you! :D
