Book Lover's Holiday Giveaway Hop

Thursday, December 1, 2011

Thank you to everyone who entered! I'll be emailing the winner just as soon as I've entered all of the names, with extra entries, into Virtual Hat. Good luck! (And a special thank you to those of you who posted comments. I really appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts with me.)

This Hop is hosted by the wonderful and amazing I'm A Reader, Not A Writer and Alyson from Kid Lit Frenzy.

Prizes:
In preparation for the release of Forever, I'm giving away a Kindle eBook copy of Fractured so you can get all caught up with your reading when Forever comes out. The Kindle copy will be gifted to you. You must be able to receive gifted books from Amazon for this. (Note: Amazon offers many free aps, so this book can be read on iPad, iPod, iPhone, PC, etc. So even if you don't have a Kindle you can still read this.)

For those of you who don't like reading ebooks, you may instead choose a beaded bookmark as your prize like the one pictured below, which is made from crystal beads and silver spacer beads strung on silk cord.

Printed copies of my books can be purchased from these locations:
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and The Book Depository for free international shipping.
Singed copies of my books can be purchased from my website at www.cherischmidt.net

Thanks for stopping by my blog!!!

Most likely! It'd depend on my budget but I think that bookmarks, replica jewelry and t-shirts are always fun!

I'm traditional...I really prefer to read print books and don't even own a Kindle/Nook or anything.

For question one, I'd say probably not -- I don't usually purchase the extra stuff -- everything seems to go towards books!

For question two, I am definitely a fan of both. I love print books and don't think I'll ever give them up, but I also own a Kindle and love the convenience of always having a book in my bag (especially while traveling).

I read both print and ebooks! :)

I'm an ebook kind of person, I love the fact that I can carry around a device with more than a few books on it. Sometimes I'm in the mood for YA, sometimes fantasy, sometimes poetry. My ereader gets me through all my moods!
I still love to buy bookmarks! I give them as gifts in cards.

My answer for Q1:
I am actually very interested in purchasing the items. However, I will need to buy them online
and with the shipping cost etc. it it's actually very expensive.. (I THINK).
..maybe sometimes later because I have fallen in love with the necklace ^^

For the Q2:
I prefer printed books. I don't know why but I feel more comfortable reading books in the printed
version... It will give you a ''I-am-really-reading-a-book-feeling'' but I also read e-books. I often buy
printed edition when the book is a trioligy (so I will eventually have the whole set) and buy ebooks
if they are short stories etc.

Thanks for participating in the hop and for the giveaway opportunity.

I love all those book related merchandise things, but truthfully I am more likely to put them on a gift wish list or get them for a fellow bibliophile than purchase for myself.

As to book media, I straddle the fence. My preference is for hard copies because I only have kindle on my PC and that is not always comfortable to read from and I can't tuck it into my bag for doctor's offices, etc. If I had a kindle? Maybe I'd give a different answer.

If I have the money and the item is something I can use and like I would probably buy it. But most of the time I save my money for books... I read paper books and ebooks... I read what ever I can get my hands on :-)

THank you for the giveaway chance!

I would love to buy some of the bookmarks and jewelry.

And I buy mostly Ebooks now, but every once in awhile I grab one in print for when I like to soak in the tub :-)

1. I would purchase book-related jewelry but only if I really like the book or the character that the jewelry is associated with.

This is a side story but I have purchase three times a Vampire Knight bracelet because I have lost it three times. I really like that series and the bracelet (so much that I keep losing my bracelet). If I lose it a fourth time, I will buy it again.. maybe it's a sign.

2. I'm in between. I buy paper copies and e-books. I like both. I usually buy e-books for indie authors and paper books for authors that I love (so that means read before).

I won a Kindle so I read both ebooks & print. I still like to hold a book so I tend to switch on & off of the ebooks. Thanks! Gloria

Thanks for the giveaway :)
I would love the bookmark. I collect them.

I read only paper books so I guess I'm "chic and traditional."

I dabble in both ebooks and printed, my favorite definitely being printed. Nothing like a real book in your hands.

I have 3 kids and am a stay at home mom. I indulge in my books but the extras are not that important to me. I love print books and those are my main purchases though I do have a kindle and have found some great indie authors through e-books, I prefer print but don't mind e-books
